Known to blend left field with Rap, pop and glitchy industrial electronics. South London’s Elheist has swiftly become one of the UK’s female artists you need to know. Some may be familiar with her through her monthly NTS Radio Shows and others for her eclectic music supported by her buzzing persona and unique style and approach. An artist that can be deemed as forward thinking in her approach.
Born and raised in south east London. Elheist has been engrossed in music from a young age, later leading to her steering more firmly into the world of music, radio and curating. She spent teenage years honing her craft in creative writing and studio production. Following university El Joined a band formed by artist Klein in 2016. Partaking in Portia Lewis left El no choice but to listen to her inner yearn for music and begin her solo career under the stage name Elheist. In 2017 she built up the ante to speak on societal events which birthed her debut single ‘ See how’. Since then Elheist has played in Europe's most renowned venues opening for the likes of Injury Reserve, Gaika, Tirzah, Shygirl, Poppy Adjudha as well as nights curated by Boiler Room, MIKE, Flohio, Lafawndah and more. Her tracks find themselves in rotation in the finest playlists, in the ears of tatseful listeners all around the globe and amongst the world of TV and advertising finding placements in a Louboutin ad, Arsenal all or nothing Docuseries, Stella McCartney SS23 Runway Show, a Netflix Documentaries by Lisa Cortes and more . Receiving praise in the press for her empowering music and 'genre bending' approach. Shortly after releasing one single a month in the last quarter of 2019. She felt determined during the nationwide pandemic to release her debut EP Wholesome Goody. Landing her a debut print feature in Elle Magazine in addition to many other notable mags. Fast forward to now, Elheist is big stepping into the new. Set to take 2023 by storm following a short hiatus.
